Pixley

MBTF Pixley is a 2 font typeface family inspired by a sampler on display at the Memorial Art Gallery in Rochester, New York made by Ann Gennet Pixley Lacey in 1819. Speaking to the ways in which pixel-based typography has changed over time, samplers like this one were commonly produced by a new generation of young women learning the needlework craft in school as a demonstration of their education. Today, pixelated type is synonymous with early digital technology and video games. Combining aspects of both histories, MBTF Pixley is a love letter to the stitch that represents unique parallels across time, gender, and technology.

Includes Roman and Script Styles with alternate characters as .otf
